Tent London and The Lightbox has announced the winner of The Art Fund Pavilion 2009 exhibition design competition. The event will be designed by Brooklyn-based Tina Manis Associates.

Tina Manis Associates proposed bold and elegant design which accommodates the intended use of the pavilion as a gallery. The design was concerned as the most suited to The Lightbox’s site, which will be its home each summer.

Inspired by the beauty of structures and systemized processes found in nature, Tina Manis develpoed a construction design which based on the simple techniques of creation: mirroring, reflection and symmetry. Thus, the design resulting a structures which made of two identical halves which reflect each other.
