The Building Extension of a Residential Building

This project is translucent extension of a residential building in Le Noirmont, Switzerland. The design has succeeded completed by Swiss architecture studio dB_dubail begert architectes. The internal space is freed up by an outside stairwell which is made made of a polycarbonate shell so people outside can see the movemet inside. The polycarbonate shells provide reflections and transparency effects and give an evanescent presence to this volume. The building interior such as floors, stairs and ceilings are made of raw aluminum sheets. This material is clouded by the colored light through the warm colors of the interior polycarbonate wall.
